Welcome to the Diamond M Ranch! We want to welcome you to our website and hope you take some time to look around. We are located just south of Burke, South Dakota.
Jeff is the GENERAL MANAGER and oversees the Ranch and Show Operations. Margaret manages our Stallions and breeding aspects. She is involved with the Health and Exercising of the horses as well. She helps lope horses at shows and turn back in the practice pen. Margaret started to show in 2005 and is currently showing in the Amatuer, Limited Rider and Non-Pro Classes. Shannon is 13 and also started showing in 2005. She is currently showing in the Jr. Youth Class and the $2,000 Limited Rider. She is a 2007 current contender for the JR Youth ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. She helps lope horses at shows and turn back in the practice pen. Nick is our #1 Videographer. He takes all the videos at the shows and does a great job for a 12 year old. Sky Stukel is our Barn Manager and has been with us since 2003. She is a certified equine massage therapist. Sky maintains the overall Health & Nutrition of all the horses at the ranch. She starts by halter breaking the foals and continues to work with the colts until they are ready to sell or go to the trainers. Sky exercises the horses and shows many of the horses. In 2005, Sky rode several of our horses and qualified for the NCHA World Show in Feb 2006. Sky finished 14th in the $ 2,000 Limited Rider Class for 2006 riding all Diamond M Ranch horses! Paul Hansma - Weatherford TX has trained several of our current showhorses and Aged Event horses. He has been a great help to us in teaching how to show and tune our trained horses. Paul is an NCHA Hall of Fame trainer and works out of the BAR H RANCHE which is the home of stallions, CD OLENA and DUAL PEP. |

In 2001, we purchased our 1st cutting horse. We then lived in Yankton, SD on 8 acres. Our love of cutting horses continued to grow , and as our herd grew, we knew that we needed to make a change. So we purchased the ranch in Burke, SD in the fall of 2002 and began building immediately. The Diamond M Ranch consist of 500 acres, a 100 x 300 Indoor Heated Arena with attached 12 stall barn and a log home big enough to have guest and entertain. We have continued to improve our horses and love the experience and the people we come in contact with in this industry. We now own the #1 four year old of 2006, OUR LITTLE DYNO and the #1 three year old MARE of 2007, JUNE BUG DUALLY. Our herd consist of several of the highest money earning horses in South Dakota. We strive for quality in pedigree, conformation, athletic ability, mental intelligence and money earners. Take a look at some of the accomplishments our stallions and mares and geldings have and we think you will agree that our program is among the finest in the cutting horse industry.In the past 6 years, we have invested our LIFE, our FAMILY and our MONEY to bring Great Quality Cutting Horses to the Midwest. We are making plans to hold some BIG Added Money shows at our Ranch so that the good people in the midwest have a chance to compete with the haulers. |
